This is NOT some sensationalized headline used to make you look at web ads. This is a REAL MIRACLE. A Mother in Australia brought her 27 week old son, born prematurely, back to life by merely holding him against her skin for 2 hours. Doctors had declared the baby dead 2 hours before, and given him to his Mother simply for her to say goodbye.

What does this mean to us as a race? I think it means we do not value human touch enough, nor do we know enough about the effect of touch on the human condition. Yes, of course we know that being touched feels good. But, does it DO good for our body in more ways than we realize? I say YES!

Our tax dollars are used by our government every year in studies that we never hear about, and might not care about either. I hope some of the money goes to study human touch and it's effect on our present and future mental and physical health. I have SO many questions that only long term studies can truly answer, and only then to a small degree. We may never know the true value of the this free, yet priceless, gift we are all born with.

Do babies who are touched more go on to suffer less
mental and/or physical health issues in the future?

Do babies raised by a nanny get touched more, less or equal
to babies raised by their parents full-time?

Do babies who go to day care & pre-school get touched as much
as babies raised by their parents full-time?

Does touch by nannies, teachers and other children have
the same effect on our body and mind as touch by our parents?
