ARE YOU CONNECTED TO THE FILM INDUSTRY?
"Seeking Happily Ever After" Seeks Executive Producer!

We are in the editing stage & seeking an executive producer to put in the final funding. The website for the documentary is SeekingHappilyEverAfter.com, and the trailer and behind-the-scenes footage are on there as well as our milestones, updates and experts. I'm making the film with Kerry David, producer of multi-award winning "My Date with Drew" and "Agent Cody Banks." Our Editor is Janneke Dommisse, whose credits include the popular doc-style TV shows “Project Runway”, “Making The Band”, “Road Rules Extreme,” and 12 seasons of “The Real World”.

Some of our milestones include:

· Being voted "top-rater trailer" at Sundance in 2008
· Having Extra TV feature us this past year and agree to follow us through the festival circuit
· Getting calls from major women's magazines (Oprah, Glamour, Allure, NY Post) who asked for an exclusive interview with me when the film gets distribution.
· We've gotten dozens and dozens of emails from women around the world (Korea, Japan, Australia, London) encouraging us to keep going. We've also had approximately 20 women's blogs write about the project with links to our trailer.
We are currently in editing phase and looking for an executive producer to put in final funding. Either way, our plan is to begin submitting to festivals, starting with Sundance, with our rough cut starting in the fall.
If you, or someone you know, is intersted in investing, they should contact our producer, Kerry David, (producer@seekinghappilyeverafter.com). Tell her "Cookie Cutter Girl" sent you, so she knows you're not cold-calling her.

Care2 Action Alert

An article in the Korean English-language newspaper the Chosun Ilbo just reported that the U.S. and North Korea are beginning negotiations to release Euna Lee and Laura Ling, the two American journalists recently sentenced to 12 years of hard labor in North Korea.

That's why it's more crucial now than ever before that you show your support for their release >>

On March 17, 2009, Laura and Euna were shooting video along the China/North Korea border for a story they were working on about the trafficking of women in the region. They were stopped by North Korean border guards and arrested immediately thereafter.

A verdict in their closed trial was reached on June 8, and both Laura and Euna were sentenced to 12 years of reform through labor for illegal entry and grave crimes against the North Korean state.

Since the sentencing, the families have been able to receive calls on a few occasions. In the most recent call, they asked for continued support from our country and its citizens for their amnesty.

Please heed their call! Urge the government of North Korea to grant amnesty to Laura Ling and Euna Lee >>
