The Clean Water Act is supposed to protect waterways from being used as waste disposal sites -- but Bush-era rulemaking effectively overturned this portion of the Act. Fortunately, Congress has a solution: the Clean Water Protection Act. This new bill will reinstate the purpose of the old bill and ensure lakes, rivers, streams and wetlands are not destroyed by industrial waste dumping by passing.
