Senate Votes Yes for Health Care for Children Despite past vetoes by former President Bush, the Senate recently voted to reauthorize and strengthen the Children's Health Insurance Program, granting 4 million more children access to affordable health care. President Obama Repeals Global Gag Rule On Jan. 23, President Obama repealed the Global Gag Rule, which prohibited family-planning programs in other nations receiving U.S. aid if the programs were pro-choice. Read more. NOTE: Wolves Still Need Secure Protection! In the last hours in power, the Bush administration removed federal protection from wolves, but fortunately Pres.
