SIGN PETITION! Tell President Obama to adopt a clean slate agenda with the EPA, end mountaintop removal coal mining & build new coal plants.BE A HERO

care2 petitionsite actionAlert

By now I'm sure you've heard of the horrific coal ash spill in Harriman, Tennessee on Dec. 22. I've seen videos of the spill, and it's devastating. Dead fish and birds were being pulled from the surface of the thick black sludge.

Coal is certainly NOT clean. Tell President Obama to adopt a clean slate agenda.

This disaster is another stark reminder of the environmental, health and economic hazards of our over-reliance on coal as an energy source. Everything about coal - from the extraction to the waste - is dirty.

Tell Obama to adopt a clean slate agenda with the EPA, end mountaintop removal coal mining and the building of new coal plants, and commit to halting the effects of global warming.

Thank you for speaking out when it truly counts.

Sincerely,

Emily & Julian

Take Action!
The effects of Tennessee's coal ash spill show just how dirty coal power really is. And this is not even taking into account the mining process.
